St Paul’s Cathedral music outreach has been running since 2014, and is led byTom Daggett. There is a strong relationship with the Cathedral School. Choristers sing at the bi-annual organ days and there are collaborative performances with state primary schools from time to time. The School’s latest initiative, Learning in Harmony,  will give opportunities to explore a wider range of activities (eg instrumental provision in state schools).

Spellbound …..

The Cathedral’s ambitious project takes choral and organ music to primary and secondary schools across London, particularly where music is under-resourced and includes a children’s choir in Hackney www.hackneychoral.com  As It is helping Hackney to develop the singing strategy for schools and other organisations across the borough.

St Paul’s is part of a consortium of partners thinking about musical progression in Tower Hamlets. In other boroughs across Greater London (and beyond), the outreach team, led by Tom Daggett, connects with schools through the Diocese, or through charitable connections of the Cathedral.

The OBE organ project takes digital organs into primary schools and there is lots of CPD for specialist and non-specialist music teachers.
