Stringmoves, in its 16th year, gives children from local primary schools an opportunity to learn a stringed instrument as part of a fun/holistic music experience. Sixty children aged 5-11 currently enrolled and singing is a vital ingredient of programme and generous bursaries are available for families unable to pay. The school hosts a summer school for London children.

SJCS also provides boarding accommodation for the annual residential course run by St John’s College for children from St John’s The Divine in Kennington. This choir visited to sing a joint Evensong with St John’s Choir in May. The school is also planning a more substantial outreach programme with a computer-based project starting in September.
