Llandaff’s New Head Commissioned

Mrs Clare Sherwood, the new head of the Cathedral School, was officially commissioned in Llandaff Cathedral in September. She succeeded Stephen Morris who has become Principal of St Edward’s College, Liverpool.

Clare said: “Having been educated at a cathedral school myself, I feel privileged to be leading a school with similar ethos and values. The School has a reputation for excellence and following a period of significant development, with the introduction of a sixth form, this is an exciting time in it’s history.”

She was educated at Hereford Cathedral School where her father Dr Howard Tomlinson was Headmaster (and a former CSA Chairman). She was a choral scholar while at Cambridge and followed in her father’s footsteps by reading History. She has worked in the state and independent sectors, latterly as Deputy Head at Blundell’s.
