The Portsmouth Grammar School is a day school for girls and boys aged 2 and a half to 18. Our purpose is to offer an outstanding education that prepares each individual to lead a fulfilled and purposeful life during and beyond PGS.
Portsmouth Cathedral will be 100 years old in 2027 and ever since our foundation we endeavour to build the choral tradition here. With the help of Choir School partners like PGS, we sing daily choral worship, work with The Royal Navy, Portsmouth University and broadcast regularly on BBC TV and Radio.
Our Choristers
Portsmouth Cathedral Choir has 22 Boy Choristers, 22 Girl Choristers and a professional back row of Choral Scholars and Lay Clerks.
Evensong is at 5.45pm Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Chorister auditions are held all year around.
More info can be found on the Portsmouth Cathedral website.
