Hereford Ex-Chorister News

Countertenor David Hurley leaves the King’s Singers this summer after 26 years and will be replaced by another ex-chorister, Patrick Dunachie, a former pupil at Hereford Cathedral School. Patrick was a choral scholar at King’s Cambridge and graduated with a double first.

In the news too is Patrick’s older brother Liam who is a very successful pianist. He read music at Trinity College, Cambridge and then studied jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He has performed at Ronnie Scott’s and other major London jazz clubs and recently was the accompanist on the Christmas Day chart topping recording ‘A Bridge for You’ performed by Gareth Malone’s NHS Choir. Liam has also worked extensively in the theatre including being musical director for the critically acclaimed production of ‘Hairspray’ at the Leicester Curve Theatre.
