Dr David Neville RIP

It is with great sadness we report that David passed away last Thursday following a short and sudden illness.

David Neville was founding head of the hugely successful St John’s College in Cardiff. Since 1987 he worked tirelessly to make the school one of the most successful in Wales as well as holding the honorary position of Director of Music at the Metropolitan Cathedral for 35 years.

It was just a few months ago that we reported that he had been awarded a Papal Knighthood of the Order of St Gregory and he also received both the Papal Cross Pro Eccleisa et Pontifice and the Archbishop of Wales Award for Church Music in recognition of his outstanding contribution to music and education.

We are thinking of Diana and their sons Ambrose, Dominic and James at this very sad time for them.
