Matthew Jelley arrives in Canterbury

Congratulations to Matthew Jelley who has succeeded Robert Bacon as Head of St Edmund’s School. He taught at Hampton School before becoming Head of the Lower School at The Perse School, Cambridge where he has been Deputy Head of the Prep School since 2009. Matthew says: “All schools are unique, but choir schools have a particular character and place in the heart of the community. St Edmund’s choristers enrich both the worship in the Cathedral and the experience of all pupils within the school, and I look forward to working with the CSA in upholding and promoting this important aspect of our heritage.”
