David Flood is new COA President

Dr David Flood, Master of the Choristers and Organist at Canterbury Cathedral since 1988, became President of the Cathedral Organists’ Association earlier this month. He succeeded Martin Baker, Master of Music at Westminster Cathedral, and will hold the post for three years.

David was Assistant Organist at Canterbury before moving to Lincoln in 1986. He received an Hon. DMus from the University of Kent in 2002 and is an Honorary Fellow of Canterbury Christ Church University and visiting professor.

He has masterminded the music for four Enthronements of Archbishops and two Lambeth Conferences! He has also hosted an annual International Children’s Choirs Festival in Canterbury since 1997 which attracts up to 400 American children.

CSA wishes him a very happy and rewarding Presidency and we look forward to working with him during this time.
