LIVERPOOL SPECTACULAR!

150 choristers travelled to Liverpool on 13 May to sing with 200+ local children in the Metropolitan Cathedral. Here they are with composer James Whitbourn whose Alleluia Jubilate they premiered at the end of an amazing concert. It was the highlight of a memorable and enjoyable annual conference, parts of which we shared with members of the Cathedral Organists' Association (COA).
Outreach Update
Since the Government announcement that choir schools were to be part of a £10m package to get the nation singing again, there has been lots of outreach activity!
Choristers in the 21 projects currently running have enjoyed working with some 12,000 primary school children in more than 250 schools. Some 20,000 parents and friends have enjoyed the 80 concerts staged so far.
The new junior county choirs have also been busy entertaining nearly 30,000 at just under 100 public performances.
Details of forthcoming concerts appear in the Events section.

Radio 3's Choral Evensong - now on Sundays
See Events for more details
The first BBC Choral Evensong came from Westminster Abbey 80 years ago! The BBC revisited the Abbey for a special celebratory service back in October and plan to broadcast some memorable programmes in the coming months. The 1954 Choral Evening from King's College, Cambridge, under the direction of Boris Ord, featured our very own Richard White as treble soloist for the G Major Canticles by Charles Villiers Stanford.
